QuSheet uses Forms and Display Tables (not to be confused with QuSheet’s Key Item “Table”) to present data to you for viewing and editing.

The View menu item appears whenever a Display Table is being shown – a menu whose entries allow you to control the columns being displayed.

You can also hide columns by right-clicking on the heading of the column and choosing “hide”.

Columns can be moved and resized, producing a ragged-table as you work, which is fixed when you navigate away or resize.

One column, the special column, which cannot be hidden, and whose name is displayed surrounded by two dots, is expanded or contracted as necessary to allow your table to fit snug with the window borders. This behaviour can be changed from the Preferences / General tab if you wish.

You can also cause a column to expand or contract to accommodate a ragged table by right-clicking on the column header and selecting “fit width”.

The View menu contains “all” and “default” entries to allow you to restore visibility to all of your columns and to additionally restore their default widths.

A:
The "default" for a workbook table now displays columns for fields which have a value defined, either within the workbook table or as a sheet addition. View default for a table is also invoked when you first load a project into QuSheet.

Column sizes, presence and location are stored for you by QuSheet and restored when you restart the program. The number of columns available for a display table for key item Tables depends on the project, which means that if you change these columns you may get unexpected results if you then change to another project (since these setting do not depend on the project, they depend on the user). If you think this may have happened, remember the View / All and View / Default menus.
