| Part of the "Using QuSheet" tutorial for QuSheet |
| Summary |
A: Note that the QuSheet logo now appears when a tab page is empty, and that some of the entries and layout of various tab-pages have changed since this presentation was made (but not in ways that affect this presentation's contents). |
The text in the help pane changes as you look at the different tab-pages and the different fields within them. |
The help pane is separated from the tab-pages by a separator which you can drag up and down. |
Help pane text is scrollable in the normal ways. The F10 and F11 keys also scroll the text in this pane up and down for non-mouse users, though this is a little clunky. |
The help menu contains three entries to move the splitter around, plus entries to navigate to QuSheet’s home page, enter a new licence key and check for software updates. |
A: The help menu also now contains an entry to allow you to view a read-only copy of the XML Schema Definition file for a QuSheet project (for System Integrators). |
Help appears in 4 layers, one following the other. |
The top help layer is the Error layer. When the input field and help pane goes red, this consists of an error message explaining what has gone wrong. |
The second help layer provides explanation for a field in a form, or a table column in a table, depending on what is currently selected. |
The third layer of help provides information on the current Tab page. |
The fourth layer of help provides general information relevant to what you are doing now but common to many areas within QuSheet (such as information on entering data). |
