| Headings - part 5 |

| Part of the "Working With QuSheet" tutorial for QuSheet |
| Summary |
When a Heading entry specifies a field in a non-field access operation, then the Field is set to the running total *before* invoking the parameter in either the “On” or “Explanation” part of the entry. |
A: Setting a field in a non-field access operation also takes place *before* evaluating the Selector – but more about this in the next tutorial. |
A: Setting a field in a non-field access operation, and *not* setting an operand or explanation, causes the field to take on the value of the current running total for subsequent Heading entries. Note that this does *not* happen in the case above - the value of the field remains unchanged for subsequent Heading entries when an operand or explanation *is* specified. |
The “explanation” column in a Heading or Sheet entry works with the “text” column in order to provide explanatory text for a given line (the two are simply concatenated together). Styling also controls some aspects of explanatory text (whether to show the operand name and fields). |
A: Note that the Field column is now displayed using some sort of clue as to how the Field is being used. |
