| Summary |
QuSheet displays one of the following as a result of its processing of Headings and Tables: text, booleans (true or false, shown as yes/no), times (a number of seconds or minutes converted to a time format), dates (a number of days since Jan 1st 1900 converted to a date format), fixed text (specified in the Style, effectively ignoring whatever was calculated) or a decimal number. |
Decimal numbers have an optional integer part, optional decimal part, optional prefix unit and optional postfix unit. Postfix and Prefix units are separated from the number by a single space. |
The display of all these different types of output takes place within the Main display field. Main fields align with one another up and down the output. Individual components of a decimal number display also line up, i.e. the units, integer parts and decimal parts. |
Where fields are of different sizes aligning takes place to the left, middle or right according to how each individual line has been styled (though numbers always line up against the decimal point). Note that that decimal number lining up can be spoiled if the overall main fields in different rows line up relative to one another differently (i.e. one goes to the left, the next to the right, and so on). |
To either side of the Main field are the Left field and Right field, flush up against it, with contents specified entirely by the Style. These fields also line up with each other up and down the output. |
Although all these fields exist in the Explanation field group, all lining up is condensed into a single inter-field space since the Explanation group does not support lining up (it cannot, since it uses a proportional font). |
The Op Style group has an additional field: the Operator, which is separated from the Left field by a single space, always line to the left with other operators, and which can be controlled to a certain degree by options within the Style Standard tab. |
Note that dates and times input via Tables are converted into days since Jan 1st 1900 and seconds for you automatically. |
