General Notes regarding All Quick Wins
Getting Started
Once you have licenced and installed QuSheet, and downloaded the QuickWin project source, open the source project using File / Open.
From the Sheet tab, press Generate, or select Generate from the Sheet menu, to create your initial output.
Once Generation has taken place successfully, a label next to the Generate button will display the date and time of generation, and the View button will be enabled.
Use the View button, or select View from the Sheet menu, to invoke your preferred browser (specified under Preferences / Resources) on the output file that QuSheet has generated (found in the same directory as your project file and called Project.Sheet.html).
Basic Data Changes
All quick win scenarios have been set up with a greeting message, which you can change from either Workbook / Tables or Sheet / + Table Additions, using the table “greeting”, and a farewell message which can be changed in the same way.
Between the greeting and farewell invocation (from the Sheet Entry) two there will be one or more headings or tables invoked depending on the quick win scenario.
Whether you change these tables using Workbook or Sheet depends on whether you wish to make a change once for all your sheets or whether you are generating more than one sheet (as is the case with some of the Quick Win scenarios) and you want to vary the information between them.
If you want to embed new lines in text within a table, you must use the text "(NL)" and ensure that the corresponding generation parameter (under Workbook / Generation – and near the bottom on the right hand side) is set to yes.
When dealing with dates and times, right click to bring up a list of options to allow you to use the date and time picker dialog boxes.
When you are looking at a display table, such as that which accompanies the Workbook / Tables tab page, a View item appears on your menu bar. From here, you can select “default” to restore your display table to a default setting, in case you have lost some columns of information.
The usage message at the top of the output is changed using one of the Generation parameters, generally under Workbook rather than an individual sheet.
The title for a sheet is changed in the same way.
Common Styling Changes
Use “z default” under “Default” to change the background colour for the whole sheet.
Use “_ greeting” and “_ farewell” in the same way to change the background, or foreground, colours for the greeting and farewell messages.
All styles which you are expected to want to change have been named with a “ _” at the beginning to force them to the top of the style list.
Styles beginning with “z “ are QuSheet’s default styles, which may be modified but not removed. You will probably only want to modify “z default”.

This project is used to put together dynamic documents with paragraphs of text, and paragraphs within paragraphs, in an easy way, together with a simple system to allow you to include or exclude paragraphs on the basis of fields which you can vary between different sheets (for example, if sheets match to members of a club, some paragraphs can be put out to regular members and others to executive members).
